Let’s put an end to hunger in Miami-Dade County!
Pass It On Ministries of South Florida
The concept of "Pass It On" ministry evolved through a widowed evangelist in California. When her infant daughter died, she was overwhelmed by the love people showed in bringing food to feed her family. When she asked how she could repay, they simply said "pass it on".
From there the Christian television station, TBN, provided Mom Taylor with air time to seek donations to feed the hungry together with an awesome contribution from California food growers of various vegetables and produce. They made one delivery to a Miami food program and thus Pass It On was born in South Florida with a local church affiliation.
As the program expanded and developed, it became legally incorporated in 1985 as Pass It On Ministries of South Florida Inc. and operated independently of its original forerunner. It has its own Board of Directors and policies, and thus is able to serve as an interfaith, non-denominational ministry dedicated to serve the needy.
